CHRISTMAS IN JULY: OLIVER BONAS AW15

The life of a blogger isn’t all cute cocktails and cupcakes, but when it is it’s pretty fun!  I was recently invited along to the press preview of Oliver Bonas Christmas 2015 collection.  As one of my fave stores, and with the promise of lots of pretty new products for the festive season (there may have also been mention of metallic macarons!) of course I just couldn’t resist.  I brough along fellow OB addict Anneli Marinovich to capture the fun – and a few sneaky shots of me and those macarons for prosperity’s sake, obvs!

Carefully curated by the super stylish in-house design team, the AW15 range is inspired by modern metallics, soft textures and splashes of bold colours – embracing one of our favourite trends of the year ‘rough luxe’.  There were plenty of treats, with the latest homeware, gifts and fashions all catching our attention.

Anneli and I are both fans of the Oliver Bonas dress – they are cut beautifully to flatter a feminine figure, and many of them feature pockets which in my book make any dress a winner.  They are designed in such cute fabrics, but I especially loved the chic lace LBD which would be perfect for the party season… and may just be gracing my wardrobe soon!

Lovers of statement jewellery will already have Oliver Bonas top of their list for new pieces that mix contemporary with the unexpected.  The mix of metallics and use of colourful tassels (a key trend for AW15) are enough to jazz up any outfit.

Those metallics are most in use in the homeware department, shades of copper, gold, silver and pewter teamed with pale grey marble are super elegant additions to any contemporary home.  I’m coveting the luxe marble drinks trolley in particular, each piece is handmade and totally unique, and topped with a selection of metallic glassware it would transform a dull corner into something simply gorgeous!

I particularly love the Oliver Bonas’Big Knit’ collaboration with Innocent! Remember those little knitted hats that appear on Innocent smoothies each winter? Well, OB have teamed up to create life-sized versions of their favourite designs for adults and kids.  Don’t you just love those bobbles? Available in store from October, with £5 from adult hats and £3 from kids hats going to Age UK, these are the cosiest, cutest and most charitable gifts this winter.

Speaking of gifts… Oliver Bonas is also a firm favourite of mine for presents – I’ve often treated friends to their sweetly scented candles, handcreams and cute alphabet washbags.  The introduction of their new gift sets just made my Christmas shopping list a ton easier, with pretty packaging and guaranteed to smell lush, I just hope someone returns the treat!!

The AW15 Collection lands in stores from September, so don’t forget to pop into your local store or vist www.oliverbonas.com to swoon over all the pretty yourself!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
