FLORAL & FANCY GIFTS FOR MUM
It may be bitterly cold outside, but the clear blue skies and sunshine over these first few days of March have got me excited that Spring is on it’s way… To me, that means the very first blooms of the year in their soft pastel shades. And with Mother’s Day coming up on Sunday, it’s the perfect time to honour the new season with a selection of pretty floral gifts for your mum.
Being a mum can be a thankless task – from late nights and early morning wake-up calls, to constant tidying, washing and entertaining – making those heart-warming little moments all the more special. Whether you’re a mum yourself or are looking for something lovely to treat your mum on the day we’ve found a few of our favourite Spring-inspired Mother’s Day gifts for you…
Scented candles are my fail-safe gift. For a beautiful perfume that won’t break the bank, Oliver Bonas win every time. I’m a bit of a fig-fanatic, so their Exotic Fig scented candle (£26) gets my vote. What’s more, £2 from every sale goes to the Willow Foundation, a charity who makes a real and positive difference to the lives of seriously ill 16 to 40 years olds across the UK. By providing uplifting and unforgettable Special Days they can reconnect and refocus on each other while doing something they love, a pretty lovely way to honour mum’s, I’d say.
This pretty floral mug and coaster set from Ted Baker’s new collaboration with Portmeirion is another classic. I’ve yet to meet a mum who doesn’t run on tea! I adore the floral adornment on this gorgeous mug and coaster set (£21, coming soon) why not add a box of her favourite brew too? Or for something a little more traditional, Portmerion’s Dandelion Clocks Tea for One set (£25, coming soon) is sure to prove a hit with mums!
We know all mums are super busy, so why not help her keep all those important notes together (and looking super pretty) with Ted Baker’s floral notebooks (£14.95)?
Of course we couldn’t write a gift round-up for mums without including a few beauty treats! These ones from Melvita are rather luxe, containing organic oils and precious nectar to create a beautifully scented range which are the perfect addition to mum’s Spring beauty routine. I especially love L’or Bio (£35) which leaves skin lightly scented and wonderfully hydrated – particularly great at this time of year! I’m also obsessed with 3 Honey’s Nectar Balm (£10) for cracked lips and dry hands.
Was your mum obsessed with Royal Jelly in the 90’s? Well now it’s back in a new form as the gorgeously decadent La Crème Nectar Suprême (£49), I’m pretty sure she’ll fall in love with it all over again.
