TOP THREE BEAUTY TRENDS FOR SUMMER 2016
Summer’s here (someone just forgot to tell the weather) and it’s the perfect time to experiment with some of the latest beauty trends for summer 2016.
THE PALE NAIL
It’s all about the pastel nail, think soft creams, lilacs, pale blues and soft, soft yellows. They were all over the Cannes Film Festival and perfect for forth-coming summer holidays.
L’Oreal 114 Nude Demoiselle (£4.99, Superdrug) a soft pink polish with high shine
Nails Inc Chelsea Mews (£14, Net-A-Porter) Enriched with Kale extract and bee pollen for stronger, healthier nails – and so pretty too!
Essie Borrowed and Blue (£10.95, Selfridges) Flawless finish and a chip-resistant formula, Essie’s polishes are a fave with the pro’s and this powder blue shade is effortlessly chic.
Illamasqua Wink (£14.50, Amazon) In Matt, Rubber and High Gloss this polish is extremely hard wearning and a beautiful soft lilac colour.
Nails Inc George Street (£11, Debenhams) The pefect twist on a classic nude, this polish has a delicate pink blush that is totally wearable.
‘Skinspiration’, the new word in beauty and it’s all about a glow, try my favourite Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in ‘Moonstone’ (£30, Farfech) underneath your foundation, mixed into your foundation, or alone. There are so many illuminators on the market, this one is a really easy one to use and can be used on the body too!
Wearing face sun protection is so important, so this little gem prevents the face from looking pale through summer. Add a couple of drops of Clarins Golden Glow Radiance Booster (£19, House of Fraser) into your night cream and by morning you look like you’ve been to the south of France. It is my savior at this time of year and now they have also introduced one for the body!
