CHELSEA, BABY

Aside from your wedding day, the one other day that eclipses all others in your life is probably going to be the one in which you bring a new life into the world. I’ve yet to encounter that privilege, but I have it on good authority that it’s right up there with the best moments ever.

Looking at today’s maternity shoot by Laura Beth Photography shows exactly why it’s such a special time – Emily looks so radiant and happy as she prepares for the birth of her little girl. And for anyone currently struggling with how to dress their bump – Emily has it covered; I’m definitely taking note for the future!

Couples names: Emily and Gareth Libbey

Due date: 27th April, but she arrived on the 20th

Why did you book a maternity shoot?
To capture a special time in our lives – and all the other photos taken of me whilst pregnant I hated!

Did you add any styling to make the shoot your own?
I chose outfits I felt comfortable in, but still reflected my pregnancy style. I’ve found that as my maternity wardrobe has been limited, accessories like hats, scarves and jewellery that I’d normally wear have helped me feel more like myself.

Where did the shoot take place?
In the side streets of the King’s Road in Chelsea – on of my favourite shopping haunts – but I’d never realised how gorgeous the mews were until photographer Laura showed me.

What are you most looking forward to about being a mum?
I just can’t wait to be a family and be cuddled up with my husband and our little bundle!
