CUPCAKES & CONFETTI

There seems to be a never-ending supply of ideas for kids parties; from pirates to princesses, explorers to superheros!  When BLOVED contributor Claire Graham was faced with planning her little girl’s 5th birthday, she wanted to make the most of the summer date with a fun and fresh celebration filled with colour and things all little girls love – from cupcakes to confetti and a rainbow-coloured cake!

One of the blessing of having a birthday in July is you can pretty much guarantee a warm sunny day! So for my daugher’s 5th birthday party we decided to host a celebration in the garden with a pretty pink desert table, cupcakes and confetti.

After discussing my ideas with Ever After Wedding Cakes, owner Millie Ann designed the stunning fairy themed birthday cake with a rainbow surprise inside, the pretty fairy biscuits and delicious cake pops.I ordered all the decorations and party bags online and then styled and designed it on the morning of Sophie’s birthday with brightly coloured confetti-filled balloons and pretty tableware sourced online.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
