When looking through these gorgeous images of little Oscar I was reminded that it’s not always the grand occasions that create the biggest memories, but sometimes the small ones that seem almost insignificant at the time are the most important. While we’re busy planning the best naming ceremony, birthday party or celebration, perhaps we miss other memories being made. I’m sure every mum would agree that time goes especially quickly with little ones around, and so it seems even more important to capture those every day memories that could otherwise quickly fade.
Busy parents Lucy and Pete both work demanding jobs during while Oscar causes trouble with his minders during the week, so weekends have become precious family time to enjoy him growing up. Pete says –
“Being a father is fantastic. It’s great to see my son develop and become a product of his environment. For me it’s the moments of pride you take, like realising you’ve taught compassion and empathy to a two year old who’s rubbing someone else’s bumped head and asking if they’re OK”
For Mother’s Day Pete wanted to do something special to capture their little moments together, so he booked a family photo shoot with Suzy Gasson at one of their favourite spots. Without fuss or fanfare, they wandered around the park, watching Oscar’s wonderment at nature and allowing those precious interactions to be captured, beautifully!
