#103: here comes the sun!

Here comes the sun, do do do do! I’m sitting here writing with the most beautiful light and warmth streaming in the (open!) window and life is good! Isn’t it funny how a little sunshine can lift the spirit?! In honour of the end of winter and the promise of long summer days ahead, today’s inspiration is a celebration of all things summery!!

I’ve such a love for neon bright colours, they’re fun, fresh and perfect for a summer party! Take a crisp, clean backdrop and add bright pops of colour, I’ve used pink and yellow with little touches of green and orange for a colour-clashing scheme that just works!  The introduction of patterns (in this gorgeous lettter press invitation suite) and texture (this bouquet is such a statement piece!) contrast well with bold typography and block colour.  From beginning to end, this isn’t a scheme to be shy with.  Shock your guests with a neon invitation suite, wow them with a short dress and bold bouquet as you enter the ceremony, and dress your ‘maids in pretty frocks accessorised with brightly coloured shoes and geometric accessories.  Create a fun, party atmosphere in your reception venue with multicolour tassels, big balloons, neon table numbers, and get your guests to shower you with colour-popping confetti at the end of the celebrations!

Louise

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
