#117: Ice Cream Dream

What better way to start a scorching hot week than with everyone’s favourite cool-off treat, ice cream!!  If you’re planning a summer wedding, sweet pastel ice-cream tones make such a pretty colour palette.  Think raspberry ripple, pistachio, strawberry, lemon and mint for the most delicious colour combination.  For this look, dear brides, you can get away with the floaty-est meringue of a dress, perfect for swooshing down the aisle and twirling in the golden summer sunlight.  How cute would your groom look in a pastel seersucker suit, complete with candy-colour tie?  For wow-factor décor use giant balloons (pastel colours of course) throughout your venue space, and use delicate flowers, roses, dahlias and sweet peas for deliciously scented bouquets.  Keep your wedding menu fresh with yummy summery salads in the prettiest of colours (this feta and watermelon starter complete with heart-shaped cracker is totally perfect) and finish with the lightest of treats – macarons and gelato served on ice in pretty jars!

How else would you incorporate ice-cream into your wedding day?

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
