#168: Autumn Brights

orange, navy and teal wedding colour palette inspiration board with modern prints and geometric patterns

Hi lovelies!  Well what a gorgeous weekend! Mr B headed up to the Welsh borders to visit the absolutely beautiful Iscoyd Park, a venue that’s been on my wishlist for a while now.  Oh my, we were not disappointed!  I’ll be writing up my review soon, so check back in a few weeks to find out more about our stay!

Autumn is slowly creeping up on us, so this week I’m sharing another colour combo that’s just perfect for this time of year, when we’re not yet settling into cosy jumpers and crunching golden leaves.  Shades of blue are always beautiful, but add a pop of orange and you’ve got a contemporary, and fun palette with just the right amount of warmth – a combination that’s hot in fashion this season too!  I’ve kept some subtle geometric themes running through this board, a contemporary take on ikat patterns, with on-trend chevrons and stripes in tones of blue, aqua, orange and tangerine.  As ever with modern schemes, less is more. I’d keep the flowers to the bouquets and buttonholes and create this fab DIY chevron backdrop from the Glitter Guide to create a focal point for your ceremony and behind the top table.  Keeping it simple, cover the tables with tall, elegant dinner candles in bold, bright shades which add a warm glow as the evening goes on, find the DIY on Martha Stewart.

Are you celebrating this Autumn? We’d love to hear what colours you’ve picked for this transitional time of year, leave a comment below!

Louise

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
