A Breeze of Tiffany’s

Morning b.lovelies!  You know, one of the most exciting parts of being a blog editor is being able to share inspiration from all over the world.  There’s a few places well known for their inspirational weddings; the UK, USA, South Africa and increasingly New Zealand and Australia, but there’s one tiny country which I’ve noticed showcasing their talent more and more in recent years.  Holland.  It’s not surprising if you think about it – the Dutch are known for their design and creativity!  Today’s styled shoot comes from a b.loved fave, Jennifer Hejna who collaborated with a talented team of Dutch professionals to create this dreamy beach shoot.  The stand out details for me have to be the stunning dresses from Max Mara Bridal, tumbling bohemian florals by Don Florito {oh that bouquet!!!} and gorgeous ruffled cake by Taart je Taart.  The shoot was styled & coordinated by Mirjam, from Wedding Guru, who explains the concept ~

What do you get when you put the rough Dutch sea and the elegant and sweet colour Tiffany blue together? A breeze of Tiffany’s.  I was inspired by the colours mint and blue, resembling the colours of the glamorous and famous Tiffany’s and reminding me of the elegant Audrey Hepburn in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s.  I decided to combine these elements with the roughness of the Dutch sea , a venue at the beach with driftwood furniture, some  items made of recycled materials and a bit of DIY. Elegance & romantic come together in an unexpected manner with earthy & bohemian.

Adding  gold and coral details to the colour palette of breezy mint and cool blue gives a warm touch to the atmosphere . The use of birdcages is a nod at the movie. The smaller ones serve as centrepieces and table number holder at the same time. The big one is to indicate the seating arrangement, with cards made of recycled paper and  gold painted keys  found in a vintage shop, attached to it.

The table runners, pillows and plaids are tailor-made of moving blankets and ribbons fitting the colour scheme. The menu card is also made of recycled paper and finished with a seashell, found on the beach. The wooden signs and painting are all DIY, made with driftwood and an old little painting repainted with the text: Let the sea set you free.

So where does the glamour kick in? By combining all this with the wonderful products of high-end suppliers this seaside venue becomes an elegant place to celebrate a wedding. The stunning wedding dress , the two different hairstyles and make-up,  the beautiful and creative use of flowers , the ruffled cake which reminds you of the waves of the sea make every wedding a complete and exquisite event.

Louise

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
