SEAFOAM & SHELL

Summer (or at least the thought of it) conjures up fond memories of going to the beach when I was younger. I adore being by the sea; the sound of the waves, the smell of the fresh air (yes really!) and the wind in my hair. Its care free, instantly relaxing and nature at its finest.  The colours you find along the shoreline form a calming and pastel palette and the combination between the soft greens and blues mixed with the neutral shell tones create an ideal wedding palette. Taking inspiration from these muted tones but livening them up with a slightly more vibrant seafoam green and pairing with a warm apricot and peachy tones brings you a marvellous colour combo that would work so well for a beach and coastal wedding or equally on a cliff top or for a nod to the beach charm wherever you may be.

Adding soft greens, shell and peachy colours into the tableware and linens will bring the theme to life. Think of beautiful pale green linen runner and then a natural beige tulle material on top, paired with a natural earthenware charger plate, hints of green on the plates and glassware and a mix of tapered candles with gold candlesticks. Perhaps use mother of pearl cutlery to enhance the pastel and shell hues. You can be a little playful with the florals and if you want to go for a romantic feel, opt for wild and loose pale green foliage interspersed with whites and beige fleurs. A wonderful flowy silk ribbon in a seafoam green would set the look perfectly. Details in the form of bottles and sea glass would finish everything off beautifully, amidst a pastel and ruffled wedding cake and watercolour effect stationery.

Louise

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
