diy #2: bridal door hanger

Good morning lovelies!  Did you enjoy our little Blogging Around the World tour yesterday?  I loved seeing everyone’s take on Alicia‘s ‘Out of Africa’ inspired shoot, and sharing our love for Africa!  I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed being a part of it, see my post here.

Today we’re welcoming back the lovely Fanni from Fubumedia with another great DIY Thursday project!  Our last DIY Date Night project was super popular, and I know you are just going to love this one too!

On the morning of your wedding day, you’ll want to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere for getting ready.  Just you and your bridesmaids, chilling out, being pampered and primed for your big day.

So, today’s we have a pretty little printable project for you!  Pop this door hanger on the door to the bridal suite while you’re getting ready to let everyone know you’re not to be disturbed!  Of course, there are always a few essentials you’ll need on the day, so on the back you’ll find a ‘room service’ menu, to request all those little luxuries (and a few emergency items) you might have forgotten!

You will need:

1 x  free printable template

2 x sheets of white paper

1 x A4 sheet quality card stock

1x scalpel knife

Some pretty ribbon

Method:

Print out the downloadable template onto A4 paper and glue to either side of a piece of card (or print directly onto cardstock if you can).  Cut out the panels and trim to neaten the edges, use a scalpel to cut out the circle by slicing it into 8 (like pizza) and then cut out each section to get a clean cut.

String a coordinating ribbon through the hole, tie a lovely bow and hang on the door handle, sit back and enjoy your wedding day!

What essentials will you be requesting on your wedding day?  I’d go for the champagne and chocolates, every time :)

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
