FARBRIDGE VENUE TOUR
Picking your wedding venue is one of the most important parts of your wedding planning process, and finding the right one can be almost as tricky as finding the right groom! From stunning stately homes to beautiful bars, we’re lucky to have a variety of venues available in the UK, and we love sharing our favourites on B.LOVED! This morning we get to peek inside Farbridge Bar, a gorgeous West Sussex barn wedding venue which ticks plenty of boxes when it comes to style, location, service and that all-important guest accommodation! B.LOVED contributor Lorraine Claire Photography went along to get the inside scoop for us…
It was love at first when I visited Farbridge with my assistant Lexy. We are both completely besotted with this wedding venue. Offering rustic charm beautiful combined with modern facilities give it a homely contemporary feel.
Farbridge is located on the stunning landscape of the Sussex downs. The barns have been lovingly restored, designed specifically for wedding receptions and licensed for civil ceremonies, providing facilities for between 60 – 150 guests.
THE BRIDAL SUITE
What makes Farbridge Barn so special?
The barns been reconstructed loosing none of their charm, keeping many of its original features. Farbridge is entirely self-contained for weddings. Not only can Brides prepare for the wedding in the gorgeous light and airy bridal suite but also Farbridge can provide contemporary guest accommodation with their 7 guest rooms. There is even a stylish breakfast room for the newly married couple to have breakfast in the morning after their wedding, with their closest friends and family.
The ceremony takes place in the charming Meadow barn. This is transformed into the evening dance floor, complete with its own built in sound system and disco lights. The room also provides underfloor heating and air conditioning so everyone can be in complete comfort. The entire site has carbon underfloor heating system which is powered by an environmentally-friendly Biomass boiler fuelled by wood chips sourced from the 2000 acre sustainable West Dean Forest.
Adjoining the Meadow barn is the spacious and light, main Lavant Barn, which can comfortably seat between 50 -150 guests. There are gorgeous up-lighters around the barn to give it a warm soft lighting effect.
In addition to the sheltered lawn with view of the rolling South Downs, there is a cobbled bridge overlooking the pretty stream which runs just outside the barns.
Farbridge also offers their own talented in-house event team who work with you to create a wedding menu completely bespoke to you, from fine dining to hearty dishes. It is also one of the rare venues that offer no corkage charge.
I fell head over heals with this wedding venue. It provides a truly beautiful and unique day!
