inspiration #40: elegant christmas

Happy Monday readers :)

Are you all finished with the Christmas preparation and getting ready to celebrate the holidays with your loved ones?  I am amost all ready to go!  Mr B is away for a couple of days this week, so the house is going to be quiet and I’m taking the opportunity to wrap presents, catch up with friends over festive drinks and looking forward to some time relaxing with my family.

I couldn’t resist making the last inspiration board of the year all about Christmas!  Red and white are such a classic and elegant combination, their rich and warmth make the perfect palette for a wintery wedding. A gorgeous, velvety deep red and plum bouquet and flowers, red berries and pinecones adding a festive touch.  Take inspiration from Scandinavian patterns to create an interesting and pretty design for your wedding stationery, and stamp onto favour bags to add an extra special Christmas touch.  A beautifully white iced cake holds a suprise with a red velvet filling, something memorable and fun for your guests that holds a little bit of Christmas magic.  A bride in a red dress makes the perfect festive statement, or a peek of a red shoe under a more traditional white dress adds equal drama.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
