inspiration board #77: coral country chic

Happy Monday lovelies! I hope you’ve all got wonderful plans for the extra day off? We’re in Cornwall soaking up the beach chic & taking some time out of the city. I hope you’re taking a little break from the wedding planning too, we all need a little break sometimes!

Today’s inspiration board was designed for one of my lovely brides, Janine, who is marrying the love of her life on a stunning South African wine farm next year.  We met at The Pretty Blog workshop and met up a few days later to chat about her wedding plans over tea and cake. Yum!  Janine loves this soft and romantic coral bouquet, so we used this as a starting point for her scheme.

The country chic theme starts with the stationery, combining clean and modern designs with an elegegant calligraphy font.  The ceremony is decorated with the most simple pops of colour, posies tied to chairs lining the aisle and perhaps a few stems hanging at the altar to create a colourful focal point.  A combination of fresh, summer flowers in coral and pink make a pretty, and relaxed hand-tied bouquet for the bride and bridesmaids, tied with loose ribbons for a romantic touch.  I love the idea of bridesmaids seperates, the cute blush pink skirts and white tops in this wedding make a pretty statement with a bold jewellery choice.  A pale pink cake would make such a chic statement, iced with a delicate lace pattern and topped with a fresh bloom or two.  For the reception bright coral napkins pop against neutral grey linen, with a selection of floral arrangements in mismatched glass vases giving a relaxed and informal look.  And for the final touch? Strings of fairy lights could only add to the romance!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
