inspiration board #78: surf’s up

Morning folks! Hope you all had a great weekend! I caught up with some of my favourite wedding people on Friday night, Elizabeth from Bridal Musings, Kate from Wedding TV, Kirsten from Little Wedding Helper and make-up artist Ana for a few cocktails at my favourite bar on the Southbank and plenty of wedding chatter!

This morning’s inspiration board is sure to bring a bit of colour to your day! With a beach-y surfer vibe, the palette is made up of bright pink, orange, yellow and aqua for a fun, tropical theme.  Give your guests a taste of what’s to come with these Aloha wedding invitations, their simplicity is so chic, but there’s enough of a hint to keep them guessing!  Relaxed bridalwear is a must for a beach wedding, a simple and floaty gown and barefoot bride, with colourful maids and cool and light groomswear.  Just how cute are the surfboards? They’d make a fantastic backdrop to a beach ceremony too!  Hang streamers and paper pinwheels from chairs and trees on the way to the reception venue to keep the celebratory spirit in action, streamers look especially lovely when dancing in the breeze.  Using bright flowers such as orchids, calla lillies, pincushion proteas and succulents creates colourful bouquets and table arrangements with a tropical twist, and don’t forget the mojito’s!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
