inspiration board #80: summer romance

Ah, hello Monday! You know after a gorgeously sunny weekend you’re not so bad! Wasn’t it a beautiful one?   I’m relishing these last few rays of sunshine before winter really sets in, there’s already that autumnal chill in the air but the days are warm enough to still pretend, right?!

So to celebrate the last days of summer today’s inspiration board represents those last hazy summer days and the soft evening light, combining the prettiest lavender, blush and sage to create a quaint countryside feel with an elegant rustic edge.  I’ve used muted tones to create a more dreamy look for late summer, where bold, bright tones would be too much.  The final fresh summer roses and lavender create a beautifully scented garden feel, worn in the hair for a relaxed boho vibe and displayed cascading along tables and out of old vintage drawers to make a unique and pretty escort card display!  Pick up the floral details in your stationery to continue the fresh, summery look.   The bridesmaids in sage green dresses keep a natural and fresh vibe, with the bows adding a fun and cute touch!  I love this rustic timber wedding sign, perfect for an outdoor or marquee wedding for guiding your guests around all the action.  Lavender fields and summer gardens at sunset create the perfect photo opportunity, with the golden sunlight giving a soft, dreamy glow before returning to your guests to cut the cake, beautifully iced with the most delicate sugar flowers.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
