WEDDINGS

inspiration board #81: prima ballerina

Good morning all! As I sit here writing the sky is grey and I’m watching the raindrops trace patterns on the window panes, it feels like winter has arrived, never mind autumn!  Other than the rain, it’s been a weekend filled with prettiness, and although I can’t share that with you just yet, I can share some pretty inspiration with you on this Monday morning.

Today’s board is inspired by that fairytale wedding you dreamed of when you were growing up.  I’m sure at some point in your childhood you lived out that dream, practising walking down the aisle wearing your pink ballerina tutu and a make-shift veil.  To make your dream all grown up, I’ve added a touch of sophisticated grey and a little sparkle, whilst keeping the innocence and purity with a pale blush pink and ivory palette.  Invite your guests with chic and elegant stationery, perhaps using a monogram for a more formal touch, adding metallic touches for a little glamour.  A ballerina bun is a must, worn high on the head with your veil tucked neatly in the back, tulle skirt flowing and matched with cute shorter versions for your bridesmaids and flower girls.  Understated tablescapes incorporate candelabra and tall vases overflowing with roses in the softest pinks and whites, oozing pure romance with added sparkle.  Indulge in a pretty pink cake and make it centre stage with a beautifully designed dessert table displayed on an old dresser.

Louise

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
