inspiration board #87: nautical new england
Happy Monday lovelies! How was your weekend? With rain and wind battering most of the country, perhaps you’ve been curled up cosy inside and working on your wedding plans? Or maybe you braved the rain to start searching for a venue, or wedding dress shopping? Whatever stage of your planning, I hope you are enjoying every minute!
Today’s inspiration comes from our new home, which is set on a pretty New England inspired estate full of beautiful The Hampton’s style homes and even more beautiful interiors! Whilst researching decorating ideas for our perfect home, I discovered so many pretty ideas for a New England-style wedding with nautical touches and wanted to share some today! There are so many pretty seaside venues in the UK where this look would be so dreamy.
From the pretty white timber-clad chapel, navy and white stripes and natural driftwood and rope details create a classic wedding style with a nautical edge. I love the rope-wrapped vases and table number holder, for a cute touch! And how about an old oar as a fun alternative to the guest book? It would look beautiful hung on the wall in your marital home. Keep flowers fresh and classic, with white hydrangeas and blue-centred anemones keeping the look simple and natural. For you and your groom keep the look classic with a preppy twist, a pretty lace or classic ivory ballgown for the bride, and a navy suit with preppy striped bow-tie for the groom completes the look!
