inspiration board #97: rustic mint
It might be a little later than usual, but this week’s inspiration is worth the wait! A dreamy palette of mint, white, and the palest of pale pink add girly romance to this rustic wedding style. I love the combination of rough, natural textures with floaty chiffon fabrics and satin ribbons blowing in the breeze. Wooden crates, and timber trays create the perfect backdrop for cloud-like displays of baby’s breath (still loving this resurgence!) combined with succulents, moss and other seasonal white blooms. I’d also bring in a few herbs, sage, rosemary and mint perhaps to add a heady scent to the arrangements and another memorable detail to your day. I’ve brought in a touch of pink – perhaps for a more informal wedding a delicate blush dress for the bride, paired with pale mint dresses for her ‘maids? I am totally smitten with this baby’s breath ampersand, perhaps your clever florist could create your monogram to hang in the reception venue, or even at the altar? I see this look working perfectly for an outdoor or barn wedding, but with a few tweaks it could easily be made more glamorous for a country house wedding, or add a few shells for a beach-side celebration.
