MODERN COPPER

As anyone who has seen the contents of my laptop bag recently, I have a thing with metallics- mostly of the copper and rose gold variety! So when this beautifully styled copper wedding inspiration shoot landed in my inbox of course I spend an age ooh-ing and aah-ing over the images!

Combined with a sleek palette of neutral, this shoot combines organic florals and stripped back details with the interior of a deconsecrated chapel.  For me it’s the perfect combination of modern wedding meets traditional romance, and I hope you’ll agree…

From the stylist, Laura at Holden Bepoke

The inspiration for this shoot started with the incredible location. Once a chapel, this gorgeous venue combines traditional architecture with a modern twist. Naked Edison bulbs suspended from the ceiling stand out against whitewashed walls and topped off with those windows – I was in styling heaven!

I kept the colour palette neutral with grey, white, blush and hints of copper to give the space a really modern but still relaxed feel. The beautiful natural-style crockery used in the table setting really helped to do this – combining the softly waving edges of the plates with the contrast of the geometric lines in the copper candlesticks, cutlery and vases. Marble was also a texture I wanted to infuse into the shoot so the stationery and cake were perfect to give the images an interesting tone and bring the on-trend feel out.

The bride and groom are gorgeously stylish and both outfits were chosen with particular care and attention to the texture. The dress is simple and elegant but features the most exquisite beading, with the groom’s dinner jacket a decadent, dark blue velvet. This shoot was a dream to style and it was amazing to work with such a brilliant team!
