WEDDINGS

FRENCH CLIFFS

There’s something bewitchingly romantic about today’s shoot. Inspired by the morning of the wedding, these bridal portraits take place on beautiful French cliffs. Surrounded by soft and feminine details, the bride seems so serene and calm – a subtle nod to this year’s Pantone colour of the year, Serenity.

It’s a definite reminder to take the time on the morning you get married to capture some bride portraits, but there’s also lots of serenity blue bridal inspiration for those that are looking for a whimsical, boho look with a glamorous edge.

The shoot was inspired by this quote :

”When anxious, uneasy and bad thoughts come, I go to the sea, and the sea drowns them out with its great wide sounds, cleanses me with its noise, and imposes a rhythm upon everything in me that is bewildered and confused” -Rainer Maria Rilke

I wanted to shoot at the Etretat Cliffs for a very long time. This place has something very whimsical and ethereal that speaks to my heart. Far from the hustle and noise of the city, the seaside and the cliffs bring a sense of calmness and serenity to anyone who would go. So I imagined a bride going there on the morning of her wedding, to get a breath of fresh air and some peace of mind before the Big Day.
