A WOODLAND HARVEST

We adore Autumn weddings at B.LOVED HQ! This time of year sees a real fall in couples tying the knot, but as an October baby I think it’s a pretty special season with nature putting on such a beautiful show it’s the perfect inspiration.  Embracing all those rich, warm shades of orange, gold and brown, this designed, coordinated and photographed by Claire Graham with a little styling assistance from moi, is a wonderful reminder of just how beautiful this time of year can be.

The concept for the shoot was to create some beautiful bridal portraits with autumn as my theme.  I wanted the shoot to be warm, light and authentic, being infused with gold, brown and ivory tones.

The shoot took place at Pembroke Lodge, which offered the wonderful woodland backdrop of Richmond Park with the trees showing off their rich autumn colours for us. Louise from Styled by Louise created stunning reception table using beautiful crockery and pale grey from Prezola, and details foraged from nature. Although the setting was created outside under a beautiful tree canopy, we stayed away from an overly rustic look and created a luxury fine-art style, which Louise delivers so well. Liz from Blue Sky Flowers supplied the most gorgeous flowers. I loved how she brought my vision together and created an autumn firework of warm and rich colours for the wedding table and the bouquets

It seemed the perfect choice, what with all the warm autumn tones, that my model would have auburn coloured hair and soft pale English tone skin.  She wore classic white dresses from Blackburn Bridal, with minimal detailing to echo the simplicity of the shoot, and her beautiful hair set off Kelly Spence’s rose gold hair accessories perfectly.

I was delighted with how it all came together and the host of very talented suppliers were amazing to work with.  I enjoyed every minute of this shoot and can’t thank all the suppliers that collaborated enough.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
