3 Signs You’re Ready to Launch Your Wedding Business

If you’ve been thinking about launching your wedding business, congratulations! This is such an exciting time and one I remember all too well (you can read how I got started in the wedding industry here).

Alongside the excitement you’re probably also feeling very nervous and unsure, with what seems like a million questions running through your mind. Can I really do this? Am I good enough? Am I making a big mistake?

I’ve felt the same doubts and had the same questions as you do right now. Over the years I’ve supported hundreds of wedding pros just like you ready to take that first daunting step. Here are three signs that you’re ready to launch your own wedding business;

You can’t stop thinking about it.

It might start with your own wedding, or perhaps helping a friend or family member, perhaps you’ve been working in events for years and are ready to branch out on your own, or maybe something clicked and you realised that weddings are where it’s at for you.

Just like falling in love, if you can’t stop thinking about your new business idea then you are certainly ready!

You want to try something new.

You’ve been working the 9-5 since you left university, have climbed the career ladder and are earning a decent salary but it’s just not exciting you any more.

You’re bored of the same commute, colleagues and boring sandwiches, the corporate world is no longer for you. The idea of doing something creative and being in control of your own hours and workload gives your tummy butterflies, you’re ready for something new!

You’re ready for a challenge.

I’m going to be honest with you here, running your own business isn’t easy. If a regular income and the ability to kick back, relax and forget about work every evening and weekend is what you’re after then launching a wedding business probably isn’t the right choice for you.

But if the idea of creating your own success, learning new things, embracing new ideas and being challenged in ways you’ve never been challenged before excites you then let’s do this!

If you’re thinking HELL YES to all of these signs, then I’m so excited for you! It’s time to get your wedding business off the ground! You’ll find lots of resources and advice to help you here in our B.LOVED Biz series and over at the B.LOVED Hive.

And if you need a little help developing your brand and launching to the world, then take a look at my Thrive Branding Workbook & Video series available now for just £149 (worth over £800), my step-by-step guide to launching and building your wedding brand.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
