#102: COASTAL COOL
It’s a not-so-secret secret that I long to live by the sea… perched high on a cliff top with views over an ever changing coastal landscape would be a pretty perfect place to spend my days! In the absence of a beach in my commuter suburb of London, I settled for my clapboard blue house and set about decorating it in calming shades of blue and grey… it hasn’t calmed by longing to be by the sea though. So today I’m sharing my inspiration for the ultimate coastal home, a palette of soft blues, glass greens and stormy greys accompanied by white wooden floorboards, driftwood and coral. Sigh.

This simple lamp is super chic, with a clear base to keep things light and rope detailing adding a nautical vibe. I’d be tempted to switch up the lampshade for a pale blue to keep things a bit more interesting!

This chair has been on my wishlist for a while now. I love the high back and arms – perfect for snuggling in, and the sack cloth print fabric just makes it a bit fun and different!

There’s something just so aesthetically pleasing about this driftwood side table, I think it’s the combination of simplicity and rustic textures that really get me! You could paint the top in a block colour too for a personalised touch
