Contemporary craft furniture from Another Country
Another Country is well known in the interiors world as a leading light for beautiful, contemporary craft furniture. But while I had probably come across this brand countless times as I flicked through an issue of Elle Decoration magazine, it wasn’t until I popped into their store in Marylebone to check out their new additions, that I truly fell in love.
The furniture and home wares are elegant, understated, with a quiet beauty that is best appreciated in the flesh. The subtle blend of tactile materials and craftsmanship make these the kind of pieces you fall in love with and cherish for a long time. Can you tell that I’m hooked?
If you’re not yet familiar with Another Country, allow me to introduce you to some of the gems inside their showroom…
New pieces include the Mad Men-esque Desk Two, a blend of contrasting woods and brass detailing, and the First Light table lamp, complementing it perfectly.
Now, there’s no getting around it- we’re not talking Ikea prices here. These are definitely investment pieces, a million miles away from mass produced furniture, and all the better for it.
They may not be in your price range at the moment, but they’ve certainly made me think differently about how I buy my next interior pieces. A desk beautifully crafted from sustainable materials, in a timeless style, that will age more gracefully than I will? Suddenly seems like excellent value to me!
Plus, there are a number of fantastic interior accessories to choose from at very affordable prices, including fine ceramics and textiles.
You can buy the full Another Country range online here, or visit their beautiful plaster pink coloured shop at 18 Crawford Street, Marylebone, London, W1H 1BT.
