Autumn brings round some really lovely colour palettes inspired by nature and the great outdoors. You’ve got the orange, reds and yellows from the dropping leaves, and the rich purples and pinks from seasonal berries. So how do you bring this colour into the great INDOORS? At OWT we are huge lovers of white and neutral colour schemes, but at the moment we’re loving moody autumn interiors inspired by the season and it’s rich coloured berries.

If you follow interior stylist Abigail Ahern, you’ll know what we’re talking about. Dark walls with pops of pinks and purples is a dramatic way to add warmth as well as glamour to a space. If this scares you, you’d be surprised how a dark room can still look bright and light. These image of her work prove this and shows how to get the balance right!

A great way to embrace this trend is to either go for it and paint a wall dark, or if you’re not quite brave enough yet, choose rich coloured velvet furniture and cushions. We recommend teaming this look with gold as it adds to the warm glow nicely. Add gold accents through accessories like candles and vases.

Now all you need is some Autumnal scented candles and you’re well on your way to achieving a great warm look!
