FESTIVE FLORAL CHRISTMAS CARD DIY
The holidays are such a great excuse for getting crafty, whether making your own decor or gifts it’s fun to put a personal touch to the celebrations! This year, three of our Contributor’s Network members, Gemma Milly, Westwood Design and I Am Tamryn have taken the prettiness to another level creating these GORGEOUS Christmas vignettes, putting a floral twist on all things festive!
Inspired by the stunning floral creations by Amy Merrick for Rifle Paper, the idea was to bring Gemma’s beautiful calligraphy to life with 3D floral styling The results, quite simply, are stunning. And being the nice folk that we are, we’ve even provided the downloads so you can try this out yourselves at home – juts print and get creative with flowers, fruit, christmas decorations or whatever takes your fancy and photograph on a plain backdrop to create your very own stylish Christmas artwork!
From Georgia –
Our mission was to create a modern day Christmas card inspired by popular design themes of 2014. The first was Industrial with a hint of sparkle! Clean whites with succulents, foliage and of course gold sequins!
Second came a personal favourite of mine, The Dutch Masters. Still Life paintings are a huge influence on my floral design so I combined cut outs from famous paintings with real flowers and little gold cherubs.
Lastly, we were inspired by our favourite Christmas tipple I think everyone can relate to that after a hard working year!
We’ve provided two versions of each download – so you can use as a desktop background, Christmas card or artwork for your festive home! Simply select the one which will work best from the options below.
