TRAVEL INSPIRATION: FLORENCE & PISA
Just a couple of hours flight away, Italy is always a perfect destination for a quick city break – especially as the weather gets colder and the tourist crowds disappate. At the end of the summer, Claire Graham spend a couple of days in the beautiful city of Florence, soaking up the last of the sunshine with her family and enjoying the warm Italian welcome.
Destination: Florence & Pisa, Italy
Travel Time: 2 hour flight to Florence
I never need a reason to return to Italy. I’ve visited this wonderful country many times and love the people, food and culture.
WHAT TO DO
When in Pisa you simply have to go see the leaning tower, it really is incredible!
In Florence there is so much sightseeing so you will need a few days! I particularly enjoyed the Duomo – Catherdral of Santa Maria dei Flore, Ponte Vecchio, and during the day and evening the Palazzo Vecchio is a great place to sit and soak up all the street entertainment as well as enjoy an ice cream, or two!
WHAT TO PACK
Be sure to take a pair of comfy shoes and your camera.
