HAUNTED HOUSE PARTY
It’s almost Halloween, and the perfect excuse to host a party – whether its an elegant and intimate soiree for a few close friends or a bigger bash. All of a sudden the nights seem to be drawing in earlier – and the effect will be even more after the clocks change this weekend – and the night becomes the perfect inspiration for this deep, dark and utterly beautiful dinner party theme.
Black, gold and white are such a classic and elegant combination for any evening do, but at this time of year you can really pump up the black to create a moody and chic-but-spooky atmosphere. Grab some black candles and candlesticks (remember it’s amazing what you can do with a can of spray paint!), sumptious black linens and accent with touches of gold. It wouldn’t be Halloween without pumpkins, but mini white gords are so much more sophisticated than big orange ones (save them for a fun carving session with the kids), and spray painted leaves make a great backdrop or place card. If you’re feeling like a total domestic godess, then some rich and chocolatey bakes are the perfect treat served alongside sparkling champagne.
