The Linen Works Turns 10

If lived-in luxe is your go-to style, then you can’t go far wrong with beautiful, natural linens! And offering everything from tableware to clothing, The Linen Works is our go-to brand for luxurious linens that add a timeless and classic look to any event (take a look at some of my previous shoots and you’ll see why!)

Celebrating 10 years in business is no mean feat, so we were delighted to join The Linen Works team at Somerset House last week to honour their amazing achievements with a relaxed lunch in the light-filled conservatory.  Along with some of the country’s top lifestyle press, we were thrilled to be treated to a beautiful afternoon and capture the luxurious yet elegant style created so perfectly by the team.

The room was decorated with the sweetest blooms by Paul Thomas Flowers, inspired by nature in muted pastel shades and scattered in mismatched glassware along the dining table.  Each place setting was, of course, adorned with a linen napkin and sprig of natural and beautifully scented lavender.  As the guests sat down to a delicious meal of wholesome dishes using seasonal produce, in keeping with The Linen Works natural ethos, the conversation turned to the story of The Linen Works…

The Linen Works was inspired by a visit to a well-loved rustic French farmhouse filled with simple yet treasured items.  It was this sentiment that Owner and Creative Director Larrisa Carins carries through to each collection created for The Linen Works, sourcing only the finest European linens that stand the test of time, in soft muted tones that are pre-washed to bring that well-loved feel to each and every piece.

And it’s that reason that I absolutely love working with linen and embrace the creases and quirks of the natural!  Whether you design an elegant and relaxed table setting with linen tablecloths and runners, gift hand stamped monogrammed cushions as a classic wedding present, or stock your linen cupboard with freshly laundered bedding and towels, all from The Linen Works, you can create something truly beautiful!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
