I don’t know about you but I have a love/hate relationship with IKEA. I love the huge range of choices, the convenience of being able to walk in and buy it there and then and, of course, how reasonably priced it is (a god send now we’re furnishing our new home from scratch) but I hate that everyone ends up with the same stuff.
Don’t get me wrong… I think IKEA have loads of great products! We’re thrilled with our new Nordli bed and Malm dresser and the new Lauters floor lamp base will look fab paired with the oversized lampshade on it’s way from Made.com. I’m all for making our IKEA finds our own by breaking out the spray paint, changing the handles or pairing them with fabulous luxe pieces from elsewhere and, thankfully, there are quite a few companies out there to help me do just that!
Superfront makes fronts and sides for some of the more popular IKEA pieces in a gorgeous range of colours & patterns and their gorgeous handles would make anything look good. The copper wafer handles are my favourite and the copper sinks and taps are definitely on my wishlist!
Bemz makes lovely new covers for IKEA sofas (like the amazing peach one above), armchairs, footstools and even more! The choice of colours and fabrics is really good and this could be a relatively inexpensive upgrade for an IKEA sofa that needs a new lease of life.
Pretty Pegs make replacement legs for IKEA furniture in a range of different styles and finishes. A new set of legs could transform your sofa or sideboard into a fabulous mid century inspired piece.
No matter if you prefer pretty or contemporary designs, O’verlays have some gorgeous panels to decorate IKEA furniture.
Panyl offers a simple range of, peel & stick panels to brighten up IKEA’s most popular furniture and you can even mix and match colours within the same order!
