PLUS SIZE: SPRING FASHION EDIT
Spring is at long last in the air!! Cherry blossom on the tree’s, a hint of sunshine and lighter evenings… all of this must mean one thing. It’s time for me to chat about my plus size spring fashion lust haves.
Spring for me is traditionally about transitioning from chunky knits, scarves and bobble hats to pieces that are much easier to layer in order to acclimatise to the ever unpredictable British weather.
So, here you have it my loves, here are my very own spring sartorial choices…
DAPHNE BAG
Lulu Guiness £395
So first up shall we talk about THAT bag. I’ve come to LOVE a lip print, so the minute I saw this little number from LuLu Guinness it was love at first sight. It made it’s way into my online shopping bag and back out again more times than I count on the basis that it’s a wee bit spendy. However, when the kind folk at Grazia Magazine run a 25% off voucher in one of their latest publications it was fate and Mr postie delivered it to me a few days later. It’s all about cost per wear right… BUY
SKINNY JEANS
Dorothy Perkins Curve £32 £17
And here I go again with my DP skinny jean love affair. Seriously though, these beauties are now a wardrobe staple of mine, super comfy and can be worn so many different ways they work hard for their money. BUY
PUSSY BOW BLOUSE
ASOS Curve £30
Blue is my all time favourite colour, it always has been since I was a child so this blouse with an ultra feminine pussy bow tie had me at hello!! I’ve paired it with jeans in this shoot but it also works really well with this pinafore dress for more formal occasions. BUY
ROUND EARRINGS
Zara £9.99
I adore Zara clothes, but it does urk me that the actual pieces I can fit in to are few and far between {a larger variety of sizes please Zara!!}. However, they do redeem themselves a little by having a wonderful selection of jewellery to choose from.
SHOE BOOTS
Marks & Spencer £49.50
I have been searching high and low for a few seasons for the perfect shoe boot only to come up empty handed so I was most surprised when I discovered the shoe boot for me in M&S nonetheless. I have worn these several times and they are super comfy as well as adding a generous 3 inches to my height. BUY
CHECK COLLAR SHIRT DRESS
New Look £22.99
This dress has to be my buy of the season. It’s so perfect for literally every kind of event you can think of, date night, Sunday lunch with the inlaws, shopping with the girls, supplier meetings it’s been my trusty go to and is so easy to “throw on” and go. BUY
OVER KNEE BOOTS
Ted & Muffy £300 £150
For all of you ladies with wide, narrow or heck “average” calfs I am about to let you in on one of my all time favourite brands; Ted & Muffy. What can I say other then these are my fourth pair of Ted & Muffy boots. I discovered them five years ago and have never looked back. The price points are slightly higher than your average high street but they wear so well, I have worn my first ever pair to death {seriously cost per wear must equate to pennies!!} and still they remain in reasonable condition. For those of you wondering whether to get the boots, BUY THEM!!
WOODEN NECKLACE
Zara Special Edition £22.99
I think the right accessories can really “make” an outfit and this wooden necklace is a perfect example. It makes me feel that little bit special when I wear it with a casual white tee and jeans but equally jazzes up an elegant shift dress for a more fancy schmancy occasion. BUY
