I’m not a natural gym bunny, in fact I’d go as far as calling myself a reluctant bunny. But a bunny I am.

At the beginning of the year I made a promise and a concerted effort to really focus on my food, creating a healthy balanced daily menu – no ‘dieting’ but rather a change of energy and some minor tweaks. That mastered it was time to move. So when I got back from my Bali break in March I went and found myself a (pretty ace!) personal trainer and rejoined my gym.

I didn’t have any set goals, no deadlines and really no other expectations other than the need to just ‘feel better’. It really is a huge learning curve a) starting your own business and b) going from a fairly active career to sitting at a desk 90% of your day! It’s also taken me a couple of years to settle in and really feel comfortable not being a slave to the inbox. So taking those 2 hours for myself every day has been incredible.

I’ve been gyming it up religiously for the last two months and I can’t tell you how much better I feel. I haven’t shrunk to a size 0 overnight but I’ve definitely found a glow (as cheesy as that sounds) and I think that comes from just getting up and doing it.

But yes, as well as feeling all ‘glowy’, joining the gym is also another excuse to get your covet on. If you haven’t embraced the whole athleisure trend then quite frankly I think you’re definitely missing out! So me being the enabler that I am wanted to share with you some of my fave picks from my gym kit, which also happen to find their way into my everyday wardrobe too!
