A Romantic Break in The Cotswolds
If you’re contemplating your next holiday or considering a romantic little getaway together this Autumn, have you thought about The Cotswolds? Filled with charm and picturesque villages, wonderful scenery and plenty of places to enjoy dinner – we’re a little in love with the place and I can’t wait for my next visit there! Today Melissa of Elsie Love Photography shares lovely photos from her recent trip to Painswick in the Cotswolds and what she loved about it:
Describe what kind of place The Cotswolds is and what is there to do?
The Cotswolds is an area of outstanding beauty, from the moment we arrived we were surrounded by the Gloucestershire hills. I have to say the sunrise and sunset over the hills were magical. The streets of Painswick are very quaint. It’s like walking round a romantic period novel. There are so many wonderful places to visit, from small shops, galleries to restaurants & country pubs. We visited the falcon pub for our evening meal and were greeted by super friendly staff and home cook food. There are other sites to see in the Cotswold, Highgrove estate & Corsham court, both of which have beautiful gardens to walk around.
What did you love about the Cotswolds?
My favourite part is how picturesque the Cotswolds is. You can easily watch the world go by.
What kind of couples would enjoy the Cotswolds?
The Cotswolds has places to cater for all different types of couples. Any couple looking to escape the hussle and bussle of the daily grind, those couples looking to get lost in each other company in a beautiful, historic place.
Do you have three tips for visiting?
My three top tips would be to bring your comfy shoes for exploring the Cotswolds, insure you pack a camera to capture the magic landscapes and ensure you visit the falcon pub for delicious homemade food.
