I’m super excited to introduce our newest Lifestyle writer Rachael to the team this morning! Rachael is the creator of homewares marketplace, – an amazing a homewares and trends online marketplace with over 25 unique, independent homeware brands to shop from! She loves discovering and championing independent brands from the interior world and will be right here blogging her fave finds on the second Friday of each month.

Being Breast Cancer Awareness month, October is the perfect time to embrace pink. It may not be an obvious Autumnal pick for you, but you may have noticed there’s been a lot of pink creeping into homewares recently and it has become a bit of a hot interior trend. If you’re a little scared of pink there are subtle ways to style it into your home. We like to team pink with coppers and greys, through accessories or textiles. Try layering some pink and grey cushions on your sofa and styling copper accessories on a coffee table next to it. Another great way to bring pink into your home is through silk flowers or art, you can then choose darker items to style around the pink and provide a colour contrast.

To support this worthy cause, over on Oh What’s This we’ve put together an exclusive collection of pink items from our featured homeware brands. If you buy an item from the pink collection within October, 50p will be donated off your purchase to The Breast Cancer Care charity, which is the only UK wide charity providing care, information and support to people affected by breast cancer.
