GIVE WINTER THE BOOT
While I could quite happily sit here snuggled in my onesie forever, at some point I’m going to have to brave venturing out into the great outdoors and that probably isn’t the best look. I’ve got my winter wardrobe pretty much sorted thanks to Emma’s jumpsuit edit and my pick of favourite winter knits, but what I’m really looking for this month is the perfect pair of boots!
I live in boots at this time of year – whether it’s a cute pair of ankle booties teamed with tights and a skirt, or a knee-lenght pair worn with jeans and an oversized jumper. They’re practical, pretty and perfect for keeping toes warm on even the chilliest days, because let’s be honest sometimes even your favourite brogues just won’t cut it. Whether you’re looking for the ultimate comfy flats or an investment pair to last for years to come, here are some of my favourites for every occasion.
THE ON-TREND TASSELS
ASOS was £48 now £31
I adore this pair of ankle boots from ASOS, picking up on the 70’s vibe with long tassels and elegant heel these are bang on trend yet practical enough to wear for lunch with the girls or a night out at the cinema. BUY NOW
THE FUR
White Stuff £75
I’ll be honest; White Stuff wasn’t a store that popped into my head when searching for the perfect boot, but I have been looking for a pair of fur-lined boots for years and these totally fit the bill. I love the wedge heel – giving an extra bit of height whilst still being super comfy. BUY NOW
THE OVER-KNEE
ASOS £65
I admit these might not be for everyone (certainly not my short legs!) but I do love a pair of over-knee boots and with a pointed toe and good heel, I could just be persuaded to give these a go! BUY NOW
THE EVENINGWEAR
Dune £125
Dune are always my first stop when it comes to boots – they have so much choice, are reasonably priced and great quality. For a night out, I love their cage boots. Ok, so they’re not going to keep you warm, but they are super pretty! BUY NOW
THE PRACTICAL FLATS
Dune £89
These were the first winter purchase I made this year, and I’ve lived in them pretty much ever since. They’re super comfy, go with literally anything (I’ve worn with skirts, jeans, knitted dresses and leggings!) and the gold zips add some much needed interest. BUY NOW
Jimmy Choo £695
I admit these are not super practical, but I’m pretty sure I’d get a pretty low cost-per-wear out of them! They’d look fab with rolled up jeans for stylish daywear, yet paired with a high hemline the mirrored sole adds a touch of glamour to any party outfit! BUY NOW
