#104: peach & blue inspiration
Hello lovelies and welcome to a brand new week on b.loved! I was going to share another bright and summery inspiration board this morning, I was thinking sunshine colours orange, yellow and grey. But then as I sat staring out the window as I was putting together this week’s posts the clear skies and soft blue timber cladding of the houses across the road inspired me to create a softer, summery palette. I love blue shades, but as a cool tone they’re often more associated with the colder seasons. So, instead of colour popping, today we’re going pastel pretty with a cool blue, grey and peach palette for a romantic summer wedding.
The soft, stormy grey works as a perfect backdrop whether you’re planning a garden, beach or country house wedding. Use as accents in your wedding stationery, bridesmaids & groomsmens outfits and as a table linen for a neutral base, then layer your shades of powdery blue, peach and dusty greys on top. Instead of full blown pattern or lace, look for other ways to introduce texture. Ask your florist for a bouquet and table centres with a mix of these colours and full blousey blooms for a luxurious, romantic feel. Let your ‘maids have fun in these frothy layered tulle skirts {find similar at Doris Designs}, in just the most divine shade of grey-blue, team with peachy posies for a coordinated look. Organza and tulle embellishment on the brides dress adds interest in a contemporary way.
