#133: Festive Fancy
Morning b.loved brides! Did you all have a lovely weekend? Mr B and I spent a lazy few days at home, doing some 2014 business planning, cooking a delicious roast and cosying up on the sofa with a glass of wine, or two! With the wintery morning frosts and short days upon us, for me winter has arrived! As much as I love the traditional colours of winter weddings, whether it be a white & silver winter wonderland, or a red & green Christmas celebration, there’s no rules to say brides have to stick to these palettes!
Today I want to explore some ideas for a different kind of winter wedding. This hot pink & gold colour scheme can take you through from the most dreary of November days to the excitement of New Year and the coldest winter snows. Stationery can be fun, setting the tone for something sophisticated yet that sparkles, with clean graphics and pink & gold touches. Fresh, loose floral arrangements and bouquets keep the overall look elegant, with trailing foliage reminiscent of fir garlands. Nothing says festive to me more than baubles, use at place settings and to decorate your cake in fun colours to add a touch of magic & sparkle. Add pops of colour to your outfits too – a pink sash, or fuschia headband is just enough to brighten a cold winter’s day.
