#150: lavender & peach
Happy Monday wedding lovers! This week I’m sharing my 150th wedding inspiration board. Wow,right? Who even knew there were 150 different wedding colours, styles and themes?! I have to say creating these boards is one of my favourite parts of the week, a chance to catch up on my favourite blogs and excuse to spend far too long on Pinterest, and I haven’t run out of ideas yet! Your wedding is as unique as you so really the options are endless, and I find that hugely exciting! If you’re finding the whole inspiration journey a little bit daunting, then don’t forget you can request your very own board designed by me. Just send me a quick email with a few details about your day and I’ll pop something on the blog within a couple of weeks for you!
I had all sorts of fancy plans for making this a special board, but I’ve decided to keep that idea for sharing a little later this year so you’ll just have to wait and see. Instead I’ve picked one of my favourite Spring colour palettes, lavender & peach, to celebrate the beginning of the wedding season here in the UK. This fresh, pastel palette is soft and pretty and perfectly suited to a relaxed Spring wedding. This time of year there are plenty of flowers around to suit, from ruffled ranunculus, roses and peonies to big flouncy hydrangea and lilacs, to delicate sweet pea and freesia, best of all they all smell delicious! Embracing this abundance of springtime flowers, bring in floral motifs (one of my fave 2014 wedding trends) with floral patterned bridesmaids dresses, a floral painted cake and floral stationery – but make sure the flowers are big & bold not small and chintzy for this look to really work! The rest of the look is understated and relaxed, with a bohemian vibe, floral crowns, elegant place settings and a beautiful setting are all you need!
