#153: pearlescent

Pearlescent pastel inspiration in blush, mint and oyster, matt metallics

What a stunning weekend! I turned the music up, opened the doors & worked with the summer breeze and sunshine flooding in. And I even had time for a little break in the garden. Bliss!

This week I’m inspired by grown-up pastel shades; there’s just something so fresh and elegant about a soft, muted palette that I adore.  While glitter and metallics have been wedding trend staples for the past few years, with more understated style becoming popular this year I predict we’ll be seeing more pearlescent details coming into play.  You heard it here first!  These matt metallics and soft sheen materials in oyster, blush and the palest shades of mint are the perfect combination for a sophisticated garden wedding or elegant evening affair, it’s up to you!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
