#179: ROSE GOLD ROMANCE
Hello all! Hope you are all enjoying your summer so far… So it’s my first post on BLOVED and I’m super excited to be sharing my first inspiration board with you. I thought where better to start than with a little bit of Vintage and Rose Gold, which is, in effect, me in a wedding. I live in a little Jane Austen world most of the time and adore anything blush, pastel and rose gold…the combination of these produces a wonderful soft, romantic and elegant style and can look fab for a spring or summer wedding. Add in a darker jewel and plum colour and you can make it suit an autumn/winter affair.
Big blousy blush florals would be perfect, think peonies, David Austin roses, all mixed with some whispy astilbe and lots of foliage. Placed in mercury glass or copper and antique gold vases and bowls. Candles and tea lights dotted around the tables and windowsills. Flowy tulle and lace in ivory and peach tones drape over the tables as runners. Gold crockery and charger plates would look wonderful upon the tables and soft pink glassware used as an accent to the metallic and pastel blooms. For the stationery, gold or copper calligraphy would sweep across some textured paper and add that vintage touch to proceedings. Add some rose petal and lychee martinis and some cute pastel macarons to help enhance the romance.
