2013 trend predictions: colour pop vs nude {makeup}
Afternoon ladies! Have you started thinking about your W-day makeup yet? No matter how far along in your planning you are, it’s never too early to start collecting ideas! Ana’s here this afternoon to give us a little insight into the trends and colours that are coming up in bridal beauty in 2013, and how you can use them to create an on-trend, yet timeless, look for your big day! As a starting point, we’re taking Pantone’s 2013 colour predictions for spring, a toned-down jewel coloured palette featuring cool emerald (our favourite!) and greyed jade, to warmer peach and coral tones. There’s some really pretty shades here that pair perfectly for a bridal look.
Over to you Ana ~
The major colour trend for Spring 2013 will be emerald greens and silver shadows teamed with blush and lips in soft pink and corals. The shadows need not be overly applied but maybe as an accent colour, such as a liner, to create a subtle difference. Colours can be fun and shouldn’t be limited to just the flowers or decor! Inspired predictions for Spring ’13 Fashion Week seen on Vogue.co.uk are dictating soft muted tones on eyes and lips that pack a pink punch or a nude sheen.
Brides are becoming a little more adventurous with colour choices. This shadow trio in Jungle by Shiseido is a great choice for those feeling a little more daring.
Chantecaille have hit the nail on the head with colour predictions with their Save The Sharks eye shadow palette classic. Chic make-up looks for the modern bride or bridesmaids can be created with these shades. It includes three eye shades and one blush colour so the only other colour option you’d need would be a coral toned lipstick or gloss to complete your look. 5% of all proceeds from this product are donated to the BLOOM Association to ban unregulated shark fin trade, so as well as looking good you’ll be doing something good too!
What shades are you considering for your big day? Are you staying safe and classic, or will you be pumping up the colour? How about a neutral day time look with a pop of bold & bright eyeliner or lippy for the evening celebrations?!
