Good morning wedding lovers!  Last week I shared my top trend predictions for 2013 which, I am thrilled to say, you loved!  So over the next few weeks, I’ve asked our to fill you in on their own trend predictions for the coming year. Today we’re finding out what’s hot in the stationery world with James & Catharine from Itty Bitty & Bijou.  Over to the experts ~

Our top stationery trend for 2013 is ‘lettering’ – whether it is modern calligraphy by hand, modern calligraphy made by hand and then used to produce a clean digital graphic, or the use of beautiful elaborate lettering style fonts of which there are many popular ones in use currently and we think you find many more cropping up this year! In fact in the middle of create our own hand lettering for our next b.loved free printable – so watch out for that one!

Another trend we can see coming out more and more is the use of ‘chalkboard‘ – this ties in with the lettering trend too. Chalkboards are of course already popular for hand written wedding menu’s and so on but they are becoming more popular and requested as a digital piece too, again great with the ‘lettering’ trend too. This chalkboard look really compliments the vintage, retro, rustic, country and even handmade wedding styles we all love at the moment.

What do you think? I’ve certainly seen more of this cropping up in the past year, and I’m excited to see more non-traditional wedding stationery featuring in your own big days!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
