A Minimalist Elopement in Seattle
The Story: This minimalist and modern bridal shoot is the perfect inspiration for an indoor elopement and provides some great ideas to fight off the crazy Washington state weather.
The Vibe: Pure and simple design – the team’s goal was to create a modern and clean aesthetic, without forsaking any of the romance. A big part of the design inspiration came from fashionable Italian and Spanish weddings.
The Florals: As with the rest of the day’s design, it was all about pairing simplicity with a touch of old-school romance. The flowers were simple, elegant, organic and wild. The team wanted to display them so that they looked like they’d been picked from a Tuscan wildflower field.
The Details: The wedding dress formed the first point of inspiration on which the entire shoot was centred around. The team placed the spotlight on this stunning gown by pairing it with a light, beige suit for the groom (keeping it simple). A cream colourscape with little pops of colour here and there kept the whole thing clean and chic.
Highlights:
- Raised wine glasses make for a fabulous tablescape colour, especially the balance of vintage with modern.
- Balance is key – strike a harmonious balance between cream and a colourful palette by making the vibrant touches delicate and intentional.
- Think carefully about your flower selection. The addition of papaya really gave this shoot a fun springtime feel.
