Bridal Prepartion: All the Pretty Little Details

There is something special about the ritual of a bride getting ready for her big day and it’s fitting for her to share this time with her nearest and dearest. The setting for this bright and beautiful shoot was the charming Little Tey Barn in Essex. The inspiration for this shoot was a bright, clean and crisp spring vibe designed to capture all the special moments that go into a bride’s preparation. The concept was to make this pre-wedding preparation a celebration of joy, traditions and friendship.

The bride and her bridesmaids wore luxurious robes while they indulged in champagne and a vintage-inspired afternoon tea from Very Vintage Tea Party styled with delightful modern touches. We love all the pretty little details, particularly the tea cakes decorated with sweet fresh daisies.

Muted, pastel greens and bright clean whites were key in bringing this look together. These colours, coupled with soft natural night, create a fresh, crisp and vibrant feel that captures the essence of spring.  The floral arrangements were styled using avalanche roses, ranunculus, spray roses and spiraea.

Extending the spring-time theme, these blooms were mixed with foliage, including beautiful bleached soft ruscus and different varieties of eucalyptus. The floral inspiration was a soft, pure bouquet, filled with lots of white and green touches.

Some tips for creating this look from the suppliers:

  • It’s good to have your colour palette to hand to keep you on track, taking the key colours and accents from the look you want to achieve and working them into your design. We kept the vibe, crisp and fresh at all times and for this shoot we kept to white and pastel green, this way all the other accents really pop.
  • Plan your vision like a Pinterest board: keep the images you have in mind from the start and select dresses that coordinate with that vision. The gowns we chose from Amara Bridal complemented the look perfectly.
