Arizona Anniversary Session
Engagement sessions are so wonderful to have a collection of professional photographs of you both together that aren’t just our beautiful wedding day. But, what about beyond that? The celebration doesn’t just end there – and the Anniversary Session is such a lovely way to update our collection of images together to treasure! Today’s anniversary session is set in Arizona and captured by the wonderful film photographer, Anouschka Rokebrand Photography. We asked her to tell us a little more about the heart behind anniversary shoots.
“Marriage is amazing. It’s a beautiful thing. It’s also hard work, but so worth it! We feel so privileged that we get to document the start of marriages with every wedding we photograph. A new phase in your life, together, as husband and wife.
When couples contact us to photograph an anniversary shoot for them, my heart always makes a little jump for joy. Because these shoots will always have my heart. Love should be celebrated, marriage should be celebrated. Each year you get to spend together is a gift. Each day is a gift. Photographs ensure that these special moments are documented for always. Moments that might otherwise be forgotten over time. Not with a photograph though, a photo ensures that moment remains for always.
We try to do an anniversary session ourselves every few years as well. And these images are the ones I treasure. I know that years from now we’ll be looking back at these moments in time, captured on film to be cherished forever. Don’t forget to celebrate love, to celebrate your marriage, not just on your wedding day but also in the years that follow!
This anniversary session was photographed on a glorious sunny day in Arizona. The location we picked was Mt. Lemmon, right outside of Tuscon. Tatiana and Matt are high school sweethearts and originally hail from California. They moved to Arizona for Matt’s work at the time. This December they will celebrate their 5 year wedding anniversary. They are the sweetest couple and we had such a great time photographing them in these gorgeous surroundings!”
