b.loved announced as a member of the 2014 UKAWEP Advisory Board

Happy weekend my loves! This one’s for my fellow wedding industry pro’s and budding wedding planners, designers and stylists.  I’ll be back tomorrow with more inspiration for you lovely brides-to-be, but in the meantime why not check out some of our latest special offers including 25% off tickets to Brides The Show?

Advisory Panel Badge

After battling a week-long illness, Friday brought an exciting announcement I’ve been struggling to keep quiet for the last few months! Towards the end of last year I was approached by the UK Academy of Wedding & Event Planning {UKAWEP} to become a member of their Advisory Board for 2014.  The UKAWEP is the only training provider in the UK to offer specialised courses in Wedding Design & Styling, alongside interactive e-learning wedding & events planning.  As design and styling becomes a bigger part of a couple’s wedding day, it’s great to see a dedicated training facility for up-and-coming designers to be able to get practical and relevant training from some of the industry’s finest.

As part of a team of 10 of the UK’s top wedding industry professionals, our role is to offer guidance to students and fellow wedding professionals, as well as advising on courses and programs to ensure they cover the most up-to-date material and wedding trends.  I’m extremely proud to have been picked alongside some of my industry faves, and can’t wait to start working with them to provide the best training for the UK’s up and coming wedding & event stylists.  As a wedding blogger and stylist I will be able to provide students with insights from both sides – advising on producing beautiful content to get published in the best UK wedding publications, as well as practical styling advice for weddings and editorial shoots.

Each team member specialises in a different area of the wedding industry, and are experts in their field:

Louise Beukes from b.loved www.blovedweddings.com
Claire Knill and Susie Young from Knot and Pop www.knotandpop.com
Elizabeth Muhmood Kane from Bridal Musings blog www.bridalmusings.com
Heidi Thompson from Evolve Your Wedding Business www.evolveyourweddingbusiness.com
Jane Riddell from Planned for Perfection www.plannedforperfection.co.uk
Lisa Hogg from The Wedding Affair and hosts of #WeddingHour www.theweddingaffair.co.uk
Liz Marsh from Elizabeth Marsh Floral Design www.emfd.co.uk
Lucy Ledger from Lucy Ledger Designs www.lucyledger.com
Pippa Ward from Wedding Ideas Magazine www.weddingideasmag.com
Sara Russell from Wedding Sparrow blog www.weddingsparrow.co.uk

Director of the UKAWEP, Kylie Carlson said: “I am excited to announce that the UKAWEP has partnered with such an amazing team of wedding professionals here in the UK. Each member brings something different to the panel and we are looking forward to working with them all.”

Louise

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
