Ballerina inspiration featuring Cakes by Krishanthi

Good morning b.loved’s!  Today is a three-post kinda day, with three GORGEOUS inspiration board lined up for your viewing pleasure!  The 2013 collection from Cakes by Krishanthi is completely stunning taking in the season’s freshest trends, and featuring everything from a whimsical Midsumer Night’s Dream flower covered cake, a modern geometric emerald & gold creation, and a delightful hand-painted masterpiece!  Each design showcases Krishanthi’s artistic talent, incredible attention to detail and inspired creativity.  I can also vouch that every piece tastes delicious, rich with flavour and ridiculously moist, having been treated to Krishanthi’s creation at many an industry event.

Our first board is inspired by the unapologetically romantic ‘Ballerina’ cake.  Its pink ruffles, delicate button-like details and ribbon are the stuff of every little girl’s dreams, yet with a grown up sense of sophistication typical of Krishanthi’s style.  Combine ivory, blush and peachy tones with a touch of gold for a an elegant wedding palette.  Pale garden roses and early peonies lend their blousy, romantic texture to the bouquets and table arrangements, with gold-edged place settings adding a glamorous element.  How could I pick anything other than a luxuriously ruffled Vera Wang dress, this blush-hued version is simply sublime, paired with classic gold accessories and a pair of ridiculously cute ruffled peep-toes.  Dreamy

Pop back at lunchtime for our next creation featuring some colourful inspiration!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
