Floral Fantasy in Abruzzo: Beach Elopement

The Story: This elopement was designed to inspire couples who want an intimate but unconventional wedding, surrounded by the gorgeous colours and scents of the sea.

The Location: The Abruzzo region is located in the center of Italy, a mere 50 kms from Rome. It’s bordered by the Adriatic Sea on the east, Le Marche on the north, Lazio on the west, and Molise to the south. It is one of the few Italian regions that has beaches, hills and mountains and it is full of castles, fortresses, historic art-adorned cities, perfectly charming stone towns on hilltops and more than a third of the region is protected park land.

The Vibe: Coastal romance meets floral fantasy. Getting married where the golden sand embraces the blue of the sea. The combination of elegant and vintage elements creates an original and breathtaking look.

The Details: The bride, Chloe, worn a luscious lace short jumpsuit with a sheer skirt and detachable puffy sleeves from the Milan Atelier of Isabella Caposano. Lucas sported a navy three piece suit with bold button detail from Atelier Difino. The tablescape was imtimate but luxurious, set for six under a rustic white beachside gazebo. This was adorned with wow-factor blooms including parasol-shaped arrangements hung from the roof. A nearby beach swing was gilded with hanging purple delphinium. This celebration ended with a bangwith a pyrotechnics display from Pyrofantasy.

Tips & Highlights:

  • An elopement or micro-wedding is an excellent option for more reserved couples who prefer to celebrate their marriage with a small group of loved ones.
  • If you are considering a beach wedding, sunset is a beautiful time to celebrate. Golden hour, the period just before sunset during which daylight is redder and softer than when the sun is higher in the sky, is an ideal time to capture some stunning photos for your wedding album.
  • The bride and groom used in this shoot are a real life couple. For wedding professionals, using real life couples for shoots creates a certain chemistry which may be more difficult to achieve when working with models.
